PACKAGING:

Slides are packaged in various ways to accommodate particular needs. For distributors primarily, or to accommodate an OEM's minimal requirement of a particular product., Houck provides packaging of 20 complete sets per carton. Houck also provides shrink wrapped sets for sets distributors. If custom packaging is required, contact Houck sales or customer service.

Houck also provides 100 bulk packaging with 100 individual members per carton. For 100 sets, customers would receive 4 boxes with 100 members (RHC, LHC, RHD, LHD) in each box.

For 500 Series, when applicable, drawer members are packaged 200 per carton, cabinet members 100 per carton.

Houck's largest and most economical means of packaging is skid pack. Quantity per carton varies with series and sizes; ranging from 1000 to 2000 members per carton. Houck also provides skid pack with right and left hand members in one box to simplify the installation process. With the exception of skid pack, all common carrier shipments are stacked on a pallet. Heaviest cartons are placed on bottom of pallet, weight averaging 2500# per skid. All pallets are stretch wrapped to keep cartons on pallet during shipment.

Houck is currently working on a bar code system for our product labels. Customers that require a bar code should contact Rick Fayette with their bar code specifications.
